Effortlessly create professional cold emails within seconds, and take your outreach to the next level.

Hey there! Let me take you on a thrilling ride through my journey as a product design intern at Unacademy. During my time there, I had the incredible opportunity to work on an exciting project called EmailGenie, under the product umbrella of Cohesive.

Let’s start! 🏁

The problem

Cold email generation can be a time-consuming and challenging process, often leading to ineffective outreach efforts. Existing tools in the market have limitations in terms of customisation, template variety, and intuitive interfaces. There is a need for a comprehensive AI-driven solution that simplifies the process of crafting personalised cold emails, empowering users to achieve their outreach goals effectively.

Research: Analysing the Competition

To kick off the project, I conducted a comprehensive competitive analysis of similar tools available in the market. I compared popular platforms like copy.ai, writesonic, and simplified. The goal was to gain insights into their strengths, weaknesses, and unique features.

This analysis helped us narrow down our focus and identify the gaps in the market. We aimed to create a tool that combined the best aspects of these competitors while addressing their limitations. The research stage also provided valuable insights into user expectations and allowed us to refine our vision for EmailGenie.

Ideation: User Flows and Lo-fi Wireframes

With a clear understanding of the market landscape, it was time to translate our ideas into concrete designs. I began by creating user flows to map out the journey our users would take within EmailGenie. This step helped identify pain points and opportunities for improvement. It also served as a guide for the subsequent design phases.

Next up, I created lo-fi wireframes to visualise the structure and layout of the application. These low-fidelity mockups were essential in ensuring a smooth user experience and gathering feedback from the team. The wireframes focused on key screens such as the homepage, templates, and saved emails.
